Overview

Our range of Vertical Plastic Pumps are second to none; they are designed to be fully maintenance free with our “fit and forget” philosophy. The vertical range are proven to stand the test of time offering solid performance throughout the pump’s lifetime. This has the benefit of minimising both operational costs and maintenance costs.

The whole range of Vertical Pumps are resistant to corrosive, harsh and caustic liquids making them suitable for all types of applications including sump pumps.

Product Information

Overview Design VSL Series CSS Series PPS Series

The VSL and CSS vertical pumps are a cantilever pump design allowing the pump to run-dry without damage, meaning if there was a problem with the production line, the pumps would not fail as a result.

The PPS plastic vertical sump pump range are available with column lengths of up to 4.5m making them suitable for even the deepest of sump pump applications.

Because our Vertical Pumps range are built from solid in-house, these pumps are 100% built to your business specifications; with flexibility to column length, material construction and suction extension.

Design Characteristics: VSL Series

Rugged DesignFor its more compact size, the VSL boasts a rugged design capable of handling some of the most corrosive applications in the industry.
Choice of MaterialsThe VSL range of Vertical Plastic Pumps are available in a range of materials, including Polypropylene, PVC, PVDF or 316 stainless steel.
Run-Dry designRunning dry is one of the biggest causes of failure to pumps in the industry. With Crest’s Vertical Chemical Pumps, the unique run-dry design will stop the pump failing when there is a problem in the production line, meaning less down time for your business and a more cost effective solution.
Double balanced impellerThe VSL range features a double balanced impeller, meaning the pump is seal-less and therefore leak free.
Minimal maintenanceBecause the pump is able to run-dry, the pump requires minimal maintenance.
18 Months warrantyWith our Vertical Chemical Pumps, we offer as standard, 18 month warranty as an assurance to your business that the pump is quality built.
Flexible to design requirementsCrest offer a totally flexible design specification, meaning a pump can be totally built to our business design requirements, i.e. certain sized piping in your existing system.

All wetted parts are machined from solid, available in a range of durable materials such as Polypropylene / PVC / PTFE / PVDF / or 316 Stainless Steel.

The vertical pumps may be mounted internally or externally enabling valuable space to be fully utilised.

We also offer a choice of O-ring materials to suit the application.  Mounting plate are included as standard.

Multiple Applications

The VSL Vertical range is suitable for all sorts of applications, including metal treatment, tank re-circulation, effluent treatment and many other corrosive duties.

All VSL pumps feature a standard 400mm column length.  Suction extensions, non-return valves, strainers and level control switches are all readily available as optional extras.

Heavy Duty Design Crest CSS Display Image

The CSS range of plastic vertical pumps are a cantilever design, ofer a totally reliable and trouble free operation beacuse the CSS range features no immersed bearings, the pump can run-dry indefinitely without damage. Bearings aren't required at the bottom because of the oversized shaft which adds extra stability to prevent shaft whipping.  This makes the CSS range idea for sump emptying, recirculation, effluent treatment and fume scrubbers.

Design Flexibility

The CSS range is available in Polyproplene, PVC, PVDF or 316 stainless steel, for ultimate corrosion resistance to harsh applications.  The O-rings are available in Viton, EPDM or Kalrez. The support column is fabricated and incorporates a double skinned, heavy duty tube arrangement making the CSS range of pumps exceptionally rugged and robust.

Minimal Maintenance

Maintenance is virtually eliminated due to the absence of immersed pump bearings. However, when the time does come for an overhaul, a minimum number of parts and the simplicity of the design makes for an absolute minimum of down-time.

Heavy DutyCrest PPS display image

The PPS range of Plastic Vertical pumps is the first choice in the industry for efficient, heavy duty and reliable pumps at a competitive price.  The range is totally rigid and vibration free capable of being installed for many years of trouble free service. The PPS range are suitable for a wide range of applications such as checmical processing, effluent treatment, metal finishing, pollution control, re-circulation within deep sumps or tanks and wherever corrosive liquid needs transferring.

Chemical Resistant

All wetted parts are machined from soild, available in a range of durable materials such as Polyproplene / PVC / PVDF for optimal corrosions resistance in applications such as chemical processing or effluent treatment. The stabilisising PTFE and high alumina ceramic bearings are usually product lubricated, however for applications with solids, external flushing lines can easliy be fitted.

Impeller Options

The Impeller can be either semi-option or fully enclosed depending upon the application.  Radical back-vanes machined on the impeller ensure a continuous and plentiful flow to lubricate the bottom slide bearings. A feature of the PPS range is the facility to adjust the impeller gap from above the mounting plate without having to remove the pump from the sump or tank.
