Overview

Wangen has been developing and manufacturing progressing cavity pumps for various agricultural applications since it was founded in 1969. The experience gained since this time has had a huge impact on the quality of their products and the KL-S series of self priming progressive cavity pumps are no different! Wangen pumps have a long service life, and are characterised by their rugged design. One customer in Austria went 35 years without having to pull his pump apart or replace parts!

The ideal pump for effluent obviously depends on the customer's needs. We have selected a range of the most common models but there are many more. Send through the details of your application and we will spec a pumpset for you.

Wagen pumps for the agriculture sector come in several different types:

KL Series:

These are the most commonly used in New Zealand, and have quickly earn't a solid reputation for their smooth running and quietness.  Running at lower speeds means that wear is kept very low and therefore cost of ownership is also kept very low!

Xpress:

These pumps are the latest innovation from Wangen.  The range has been specifically designed for ease of maintenance and to reduce downtime and costs.

PTO Pumps:

This range can be driven via PTO, as well as via electric, hydraulic or diesel motor.

Standard self priming pumps: KL-S series

For pumping flowable thin sludge, excess sludge, and mechanically thickened sludge up to 10%. Stator with funnel-shaped entrance for optimal filling of the pumping chamber. Flow rate up to 560 m3/h, differential pressure up to 48 bar.

Benefits & Characteristics

  • Excellent price/performance ratio
  • Low Life Cycle Costs
  • Large viscosity range
  • Good pumping performance even against high pressure
  • High operational reliability
  • Consistant diameters at joint connections for constant flow rates
  • Rigorous modular principle for high flexibility, short downtimes for maintenance and repairs
  • Almost pulsation-free conveyance
  • Optimum service life even with difficult media
  • Insensitive to foreign matter
  • Good pumping performance even with abrasive and fibrous materials in the media
  • High suction lift (self-priming)
  • Constant flow speed in the suction housing prevents desposits or sedimentation
  • Low-pulsation, continuous conveyance independent of pressure and viscosity
  • Easy to maintain thanks to large cleaning openings
