Overview

Dragflow has developed different dredging solutions to satisfy clients’ demands. Every project presents its own particular requirements that must be considered during the selection of the machine that best fits the working conditions. We have outlined three different type of dredges that are distinguished by the technology adopted to handle the pump.

Dredging Pumps NZ

Quick & easy assembly: Dragflow dredges are specifically designed and manufactured for easy assembly, both on the ground or in the water, also in arduous conditions. The installation of a dredge requires three easy steps which can be carried out in five working hours:

  1. positioning of the hull and clamping through vertical pins,
  2. positioning of the power unit,
  3. pump installation.


Easy transportation: Hulls are built in disassembled modules for easy road transportation or for modular transport by containers.

Easy to handle & operate: our dredges are designed to be handled by an operator with a minimum experience of naval equipment.

High working depth with minimal floating dimensions: Depth up to 100m.

Limited draught: our dredges have a limited draught, also suitable to work in shallow water conditions.

Remote Control Dredge
Ultimate safety
Dragflow have developed a remote controlled option for some of their dredgers. Both the cable dredge and ladder dredge come in this version.
Provides an enhanced level of safety - no one is on the dredge during operation and the whole unit can be controlled by one person.

DRH SERIES – Cable Dredge
Small dimensions and big dredging depth.
The cable dredge is user friendly, represents the best solution used in many tourist harbours, and is the best financial compromise between performance and initial investment. This dredge is built with technology that is suitable also for applications where deep dredging is needed without depth restrictions. This unit is easy to transport and assemble, and versatile when the working place is not easy to reach.

DRT SERIES – Telescopic Boom
Precision and excellent control of dredging depth.
The dredge equipped with a telescopic boom guarantees precision and control, for use in operations in which a predetermined precise dredging depth has to be maintained. In combination with a powerful monitoring system, allows “surgical” operations. Perfect examples could be trade harbours where it is essential to remove a precise polluted layer of the sea floor that will be treated with draining systems. Normal dredging could involve an excessive quantity of drain material to be treated, resulting in increased costs and additional loading on the sludge treatment plant.

DRS SERIES – Ladder Dredge
Present meets future.
A classic architecture of naval dredging equipment that combines the advantages of using a submersible dredging equipment: higher productivity and less cost. This solution is suitable to perform dredging operations on very compact land. The lifting of material is made by the combined action of the excavators, fixed to the pump at the end of the ladder, that disaggregate the layers of sea floor.

Remote controlled dredge is the ultimate technology in the dredging sector. Cleaning ponds or extracting sand and gravel from a basin has never been so easy and efficient: the new electric dredge is designed to fit in 20ft container, it is ready to use and allows to reach many objectives: it requires less man power which means lower costs, and it’s safer because no humans are needed on the barge.

Instant view of working depth and pump load on the remote control unit allow an excellent management of dredging activities.

Dragflow’s innovative automated dredge is perfect for high solid content, up to 70% concentration by weight, and it guarantees a production up to 1000m3 per hour. The new system can reach a max discharge distance of 1km from the dredging point and it’s designed for a working depth up to 50 meters below the waterline, with a power from 5 to 150 HP.

Dragflow gives also the possibility to integrate the product with GPS, in order to keep track of working activities and with advanced control panel t  register the history of dredge pump operations.

Remote Controlled Cable Dredge

The DRP dredge is a portable, cable dredge based on submersible pump. Configured as a remote control dredge, the DRP becomes an automated system reducing the cost of operation while improving productivity.
The DRP is designed around the philosophy that bodies of water (ponds, lagoons, dams and canals) should be maintained to maximise their operational efficiency. Sludge level should be regularly managed as excessive sludge results in overloading and poor pond performances- The capital operational and maintenance costs are very competitive compared to traditional methods for sludge removal from ponds and lagoons.
Hydraulic dredging has never been easier or more effective.

Dragflow DRPL

Remote Controlled Ladder Dredge

The DRPL is a reliable and efficient ladder dredge for sludge removal in lagoon cleaning applications.
It is an easy transportable, electric or hydraulic powered, radio remote controlled dredge equipped with submersible pump coupled with ladder.
The DRPL is built with reliable, high quality components for dependable long-term use and is extremely easy to operate. There are only four moving mechanical parts on the dredge.

DRH Series - Cable Dredge

Small dimensions and high dredging depth.

The dredge with steel cables, for being so user friendly, represents the best solution used in many touristic harbours, they find this machine as the best financial compromise between performance and initial investment. This dredge is built with technology that is suitable also for applications where deep dredging is needed without restrictions of depth. This unit is completely modular, easy to transport and assemble.

Dragflow DRH dredge has become a standard for mine tailing ponds. Its ability to work with heavy slurry, at any depth and even in presence of low pH makes this machines the "best in class" system for tailing management operations.
